Buyer Beware!
66The little guy takes a stand!
Greetings!
Well, I'm finally motivated to getting around to creating another HubPage as well as dipping my oars deeper in to blogging.
The first of many to come.
This, will be an ongoing issue until it resolves itself.
I've been wronged!
It seems human nature always responds in a crisis. And now, I am simmering in a stew of self righteous indignation!
I should have know better. I should have smelled the stink early one. I was compelled by the fragrance of immediate success.
Here's the nut of it:
I went into an agreement with a certain Internet consulting firm -- name to be announced later if this "probleam" is not resolved to my satisfaction.
They assured me my website would get stellar results if I signed up with them.
I had a goal of getting a new affiliate program The New Secret Science of Getting Rich off the ground quickly.
I even have a decent website I created -- http://www.gratefulprosperity.com/
I made it clear I have a goal of selling 100 courses by the end of May.
Anyway, after the third day, and my initial session with the "coach", I decided that their services to me would have marginal effect so I chose to cancel my agreement and ask for a refund -- $2,100.
To me, said "coach" didn't catch my urgency in attaining this goal and had no recommendations to put this puppy in the fast lane.
No big whoop, I was told to let them know within THREE business days.
This past Monday, May 11th, was the end of the third day. So, I'm thinking all is well.
Actually, I didn't officially sign the agreement until Monday, May 11th, which would constitute
the "effective date".
I called the "sales" rep left a message -- no returned call.
I sent emails to him and others in his company -- no response.
It wasn't until yesterday, Wednesday I became a squeaky wheel and finally got some attention.
Well, get this. First they tell me I had to use certified mail to notify them and I should have read the contract.
Supposedly I was told this on the phone as well, but I don't recall that part of the conversation.
Said "sales" rep told me I had three day and to call him. Which is what I did.
After a couple of heated conversations with a couple of folks there, I am left being told I should have read the "Agreement". Which of course I didn't at first. I mean who does?
Okay so I go in last night and actually read the fine print and GUESS WHAT!
THERE IS NO MENTION OF SENDING A CERTIFIED LETTER WITHIN THREE DAYS anywhere in said Agreement!
AND, I noticed I didn't sign it until this past Monday May 11!
Okay, now I am thinking I have them on the ropes! So, once I finish this entry, I am going to hot foot it over to the Post Office and send said "certified letter". Even though it's not in said agreement.
So, right now, I have this smug self assurance I will get my money back.
BUT: I have a lurking fear these guys may drag this out for a while just be jerks about it.
Sore losers. Spoil sports. Bed wetters. Thumb suckers. Mama's boys. Pussies.
I have to wonder now. They must be on really hard times to be so desperate to keep my lousy $2,100.
Maybe the reason they must be on hard times is that they are screwing people like me!
Bad Karma guys!
It's obvious that quality customer service takes a back seat to keeping every dollar that comes in even at the risk of bad press.
And, if things do not go my way this week, I will be compelled to disclose their name, create forum posts, blog reports, scam reports, etc.
The usual channels of public discourse and dissent!
So, I'm on my way to the Post Office!
Wish me luck!
FYI: This has motivated me to kick start my blog!
